Jan. 11th, 2020 03:34 pmWent to buy supplies for the art class I'll be taking Tuesday nights this winter, starting next week. I signed up for a 7PM class with the thought I could go there more or less directly from work, stopping to grab dinner on the way. I had not reckoned with the size of the sketchpads I'd be dictated to buy and carry. The bag I also bought to carry them in is well over half as big as I am. It's going to be quite a hassle, dragging them and everything else through the Pentagon every Tuesday. But there's not much for it; it's not really practical to try to come home first. After this I'll know to only take weekend classes-if this doesn't go badly enough to put me off any more classes, because that happened the only other time I've tried taking an art class since I was ten years old or so. I'm trying to forget all my past classes and treat this as a clean slate, start from the beginning affair.
I still haven't even settled how I'm going to get home afterwards. I might just say screw it and get a Lyft most weeks. That would at least spare me having to lug anything up any hills late at night.
