I may be forgetting some other time at the moment, but I think this may well be the first time I've written smut in the first person. And now I'm wondering how I spent twenty years of my live writing smut and never did so. Seriously.

Well, I think this will be the last one, since I'm done with the playthrough and everything. I decided yesterday that what I really still wanted to do was be nice to the vampire while establishing what happened to everyone in the series. This fic more or less manages all that.

I am currently staring down the Camden/Philadelphia trip that I kept not expecting to happen already; time feels like a very weird soup indeed right now. (Not exactly a good tasting one, either.) But I've gotten both my train tickets and my live show ticket downloaded into my phone. (Although both Amtrak and Ticketmaster insist on extra steps when doing that. Very annoying of them.) My mother has urged me to go to Philadelphia's museums, and I'll probably go to at least one.
It's not impossible I'll leave with only the final fight to go on Baldur's Gate. I've basically only got two boss battles left before it, though I'm pretty sure one of them comes with a crawl attached first. I also already know which narrative interlude I'll write next while I'm traveling.
But meanwhile I finally finished what may or may not be the final addition to my Perc'ahlia series. I might do another addition to the Vaxleth series, too, in light of recent events, but I'll probably wait to see how that all pans out first.

Dealing with my resume has been delayed by the problem I should've seen coming: I have no idea what file formats are acceptable for it anymore. Nor does my sister. If I continue to see the guy I've been meeting up with I might ask him; his job is almost certain to be defunded, so he has to go looking. I'm really hoping I don't have to shell out a ridiculous amount of money for Microsoft Office on a computer that I may still end up replacing, although now the probability is increased I'll keep using it until it goes completely.
At least I found time to finally write a very E-rated Shadowzel, after successfully rescuing Lae'zel, and even starting that fight by having Shadowheart throw a guiding bolt. Though another oddity with my game: it now is including banter that is only supposed to show up if you're romancing people I'm not romancing. Hence Shadowheart was established the day after said rescue as having had an encounter with someone, and the day after that Minsc informed Halsin of the conversation Boo had had with a certain traumatized squirrel. I formed the obvious conclusion. (So yeah, there are some mentions of sex with a wild-shaped druid in here.)

( When Lae'zel woke, it was still dark out, and her body was still riddled with pains, the new blows from the previous day perhaps now making their presence more known. )

This week was another one that was less than good, culminating in last night, where a cat adoption service rejected us for being disabled without even having the decency to admit it. I have a second date tomorrow, and I'm just hoping that goes a little better. Last night, at least, I did manage to hammer out a Wyll/Karlach ficlet to accompany my ongoing Baldur's Gate playthrough, where I have now reached Rivington, and had an eventful evening at camp this week between Vlaakith showing up to bother us and Karlach getting too hot again:

I've mostly been watching the U.S. Open this week, but I did find an hour Monday night to continue my Baldur's Gate playthrough, where I'd just entered Moonrise Towers, and I got at last to the love scene with Gale. For much of the next morning, I was grinning like an idiot. And I've also written fic. This one gets a bit M-rated.

Ian alarmed us this week, with his suddenly not eating very much. This is a cat that, in his youth, made me think we ought to have named him Garfield, what with his being orange and how much he ate. Though he hasn't at any point stopped eating entirely. We think. We finally had a mobile vet come in to look at him and run some tests. He didn't find anything seriously wrong, just the general effects of his being so old. He's eating a little more now than he was. We've been bring plates to him, which may have helped a little, and we're even looking at possible new kinds of cat foods.
I also managed to finally finish the next part of this.

Note: I originally came up with this idea and put it up on daredevilkink as a prompt before the second season, but after watching said season I decided to write it myself just to cheer myself up.

Well, unless things go really well in the British elections. And of course, living in this country, you got to take all the days off you can get. And I played a lot of Baldur's Gate 3 this week, and in the process hit the Lae'zel/Shadowheart fight, which inspired the first of what I hope will be series of narrative interludes, taking place in the universe of my playthrough, though all you really need to know for this one is said fight happened when we were traveling through the Underdark, both characters were in the party both the day before and after, and Lae'zel currently has the Haste Helm.

This last week was mostly one of literal headaches, as we wait for the pollen to go away. But I did finally finish this ficlet this morning, where I get to combine my Widojest and Shadowghast feels.

I have been working on this part of this story for ten years. Way too much has happened in the meantime. I do not think I will start any new Harry Potter fanfics ever again. But for now, I'm still continuing on the ones I've been working on that long.
