Since yesterday, mom and I have heard first that only some flights turn you away, then again that they all do, then we actually called British Airways just to see if they would, and were told airport security might, and also they themselves couldn't promise that they wouldn't. Which leaves me more alarmed for my ability to get to San Diego, though I suppose I might have a better chance if I fly out of National, since they still don't have much international traffic. So we filled out the forms and put them in the mail, which meant we had to send off our old passports, which I *really* don't like. We followed the instructions and paid the money to get them expedited, but that still might not get them back soon enough.
Also, my date fell through. Guy didn't want to give me his full name and number, and claimed noone had asked for them before. Even though I was told when I started meeting guys from online that that's basic safety procedure for a woman doing so, and he's old enough that the idea that no other woman has is quite frankly disturbing. Of course there's a strong possibility he could be lying-which meant I basically had to call it off. I'm getting dangerously close to giving up on dating all together.
