My new computer has now been fully set up. The last step there, yesterday, turned out being testing plugging my older, higher-quality pair of speakers into the right jack, and discovering they worked fine then. The older computer has actually now at briefly had trouble with both pairs, though it seems okay with the new cheaper pair right now. I'm starting to wonder if it might have been a good thing I got the new one, if this one is really starting to go. Still, I'm making more use of the older computer at the moment, if only since most of my stuff is still on it. I've started to slowly move it over, and then I'll likely phase the new computer in more.
I also did something today I'd never actually done before. I went into the bank account, into which my paycheck is directly deposited every second Wednesday, to make sure I had actually been paid. Which I was. This time. I'm going to have to check each time for a long while, I'm afraid.
