The Christmas gift my sister directed me to get for her has arrived. I'm still waiting on what my mother and brother-in-law might want. The latter and my sister are still recovering from Covid, which has been a slow process for them, so it may well be a while. She did get my desired item from the Critmas sale before it ended, though, so that's one less gift for her to worry about as well.
Went to another D&D looking for group meeting Thursday night, which turned out to be three hours of socializing, but not much else for me. I suspect I'm going to have to answer one of the ads on the discord. Though tomorrow I might go check out a gaming store I heard recommended.
It meant I caught the new Candela Obscura in almost its entirety on the midnight rerun, but I did finish watching it at my normal time, at least. With Aabria in charge, of course one expected extra chaos, but the way everyone designed their characters definitely took that to an even further level than that! Also, Sam really is brilliant, but I think for all that isn't necessarily obvious every single week, it's not something any of us regular viewers hadn't long known either.
And that wasn't even all we got this week. Back before the third campaign begun, one of the many posts of fans speculating who everybody might play in it actually expressed the hope that Laura would get to play a fairy barbarian. Instead we got two and a half hours worth of that, and despite that being too little time it was definitely worth it. Also, I appreciate that Talisien's druid character was thoughtful enough to not introduce any invasive species into the local landscape with his spells.
