Today I was back to teleworking on the day I didn't take off for one specific reason: I was expecting to receive the news that it would be my last one teleworking. Sure enough, the Pentagon went to condition Alpha today, and we start our new schedule next week, so I'll be back at work full time. My laptop's already packed up. I have no idea when or even if I'll be turning it in yet, but it needs on site updating anyway, so...everyone else wanted to keep teleworking part time, but I just want this all to be over.
This was the week for such things. A year and a half after I decided I wanted to join a proper Dungeons & Dragons group, I finally got to play in person for the first time Wednesday night. In the back of a bar in Arlington which offers things like board games and space for such things, where our session had the kind of casual, loose feel one might expect a game played in such a place to have. Though the DM did have a method of going around the table and getting everyone to participate, which I was grateful for; that made it much easier for me to. One benefit of going back to the office full time is it'll make it way easier for me to get there at the scheduled day and time.
Although I am starting to worry the walk home might be too much for my back. This is the second Thursday in a row I've woken up to it hurting. Though at least this week the pain's already mostly receded.
