Work was bad enough today, filled with aggravations like a botched phone call and missing memo. But when I got home it was worse: I learned that when they did further tests on dad, they discovered his cancer had spread further than we thought, and now he must have chemotherapy. Not entirely sure I understand the exact figures, though noone is talking about the possibility of him dying at the moment, so perhaps the odds are still in his favor now.
On the other hand, he is now able to take things by mouth again, starting with liquids this evening and tomorrow, so he had beef broth while mom and I had dinner(where things continued to go wrong; the cutlets hadn't thawed out fully and I thus chopped up an entire onion for nothing). Naturally due to all this I forgot completely about "Venus Vs." until it was nearly half over so only watched the back half. And as if that wasn't enough, the computer has now apparently decided on its own to delete a bunch of my videos, most of which I was able to retrieve from the external hard drive, but not all. I'm tempted to go to bed now, before anything more goes wrong...
